The fundamental goal of this program is to shape a curriculum that better prepares students for the job market in the IT sector, one of the fastest-growing industries in the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"409\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mathos.unios.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/snippet-1024x409.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mathos.unios.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/snippet-1024x409.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.mathos.unios.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/snippet-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/www.mathos.unios.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/snippet.png 1533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum of the undergraduate university program in Mathematics and Computer Science is unique in its structure and subject content precisely because it integrates knowledge and skills from two fields: mathematics and computer science. The structure of the proposed study program is inspired by the undergraduate Computer Science programs at Saarland University, Saarbruecken, and the University of Stuttgart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Computers are good at following instructions, but not at reading your mind.<\/p>\n<cite>Donald Knuth<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group c-card--white c-card--med u-mb--sml--4\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong><strong>Issuing institution and education provider:<\/strong><\/strong> Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek \/ School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics<br><br><strong>Academic title obtained upon program completion<\/strong>: Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science (univ. bacc. math. et comp.)<br><br><strong>Study duration<\/strong>: Three years (six semesters), requiring the candidate to acquire a minimum of 180 ECTS credits<br><br><strong>Study status<\/strong>: Full-time<br><br><br><strong>Completion of the program<\/strong>: Pass all exams and complete a final practical project and bachelor thesis, which involves a public presentation of your results.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Admission requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants should make the application through the National Informational System of Applications at Universities (NISpVU) at the following link: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.postani-student.hr\">www.postani-student.hr<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enroll in the undergraduate program in Mathematics and Computer Science, all applicants have to finish a four-year high school and pass the national exam in the following courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mathematics<\/strong>, level A,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Croatian language<\/strong>, level A or B,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Foreign language<\/strong>, level A or B.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow
