Twenty-five years ago, in 1999, the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics \u2013 mathos<\/strong> \u2013 was established and began its work as the Department of Mathematics.<\/p>\n\n

Over the years, mathos<\/strong> has grown into a recognizable academic center that shapes generations of experts in the fields of mathematics, computer science, and data science, with an emphasis on high-quality education.<\/p>\n\n

The transformation of the Department into the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics in 2022 was the culmination of years of work and dedication to ensuring high-quality study programs and research. The celebration \u201c25 Years of Mathos: Journey to the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics\u201d is the central event marking this anniversary and will take place on December 4, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the modern conference hall of the IT Park in Osijek.<\/p>\n\n

This celebration will bring together current and former students, professors, researchers, businesspeople, and representatives of social and public life, along with numerous friends and partners of the Faculty. It will be an opportunity to reflect on key achievements, exchange experiences, and discuss future challenges and development directions in the dynamic world of mathematics, computing, and data science.<\/p>\n\n
