Student Mathematics Competitions Description A team of several faculty members and associates from the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics regularly organizes and conducts training sessions for students preparing to participate in various international mathematics competitions. Students are primarily prepared for the following competitions: International Mathematics Competition Vojtech Jarnik International Mathematical Competition. By participating in the preparation sessions, interested students have the opportunity to become familiar with various techniques, ideas, and tricks for solving a wide range of mathematical problems. The main goal of the preparations is to equip students with the skills needed to successfully analyze and solve complex competition-style problems. Through this process, students will gain new knowledge and experience: they will learn how to apply and connect fundamental concepts from mathematical analysis, linear algebra, combinatorics and discrete mathematics, number theory, geometry, and algebra, while also developing a competitive spirit and broadening their overall mathematical culture. All communication takes place via a Teams channel, which you can access using the following code: w8zzbzv. Members Team Leaders: dr.sc. Darija Brajković Zorić Asst.
