Stohastic models and applications (STOMP) Basic Information Project Summary Project Stohastic models and applications (STOMP)(581-UNIOS-56) is focused on the development and application of modern stochastic models through theoretical analysis, parameter estimation methods, and applications in education and the social sciences. The project brings together a team of ten researchers from the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, with the aim of increasing scientific productivity, strengthening international cooperation, and creating competitive research topics. The research is carried out through three work packages: analysis of the properties of stochastic models, parameter estimation in selected stochastic models, and applications of stochastic models. The project’s innovativeness is reflected in the integration of theory and practice, particularly through applications in education and electoral systems, as well as through the use of advanced theoretical, numerical, and statistical methods. By involving young researchers and students and by using digital tools and international collaborations, the project further contributes to the development of research capacities. The expected outcomes include new scientific insights in the field of stochastic models and their applications, the strengthening of existing and the establishment of new networks of international contacts, and the enhancement of institutional capacity for future project funding.
