03/11/2025 Revised profile of the journal Mathematical Communications After reviewing previous periods, it has been concluded that the time is right for a new step forward in the development of the international scientific journal Mathematical Communications. It has been decided that Mathematical Communications will no longer serve as a general mathematics journal but will instead become a specialized publication focused on applied mathematics, probability, and statistics. The journal will continue to be published in diamond open access and will cover a broad spectrum of topics within these areas – ranging from theoretical research to the application of mathematical methods in solving complex problems. We believe that this change will increase the journal’s contribution to the mathematical community, as well as enhance its recognition and the visibility of the institution it represents. All relevant information is available on the journal’s newly redesigned website. Every paper published in this year’s volume has been assigned a DOI, and the papers appearing in the second issue of this year have been prepared using a new, more functional template. The Editorial Board has been strengthened by several eminent experts: Heike Fassbender, Serkan Gugercin, Péter Kevei, Bojana Milošević, Alla Sikorskii, and Ivan Veselić. Rebeka Čorić has joined the existing technical editors, Zoran Tomljanović serves as the editor of the Applied Mathematics section, and Danijel Grahovac is the editor of the Probability and Statistics section.
