23/06/2026 Mathematical Communications Journal Ranked in the Q1 Quartile According to the 2025 Journal Citation Reports According to the latest data from the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), the scientific journal Mathematical Communications, published by the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, has been ranked in the Q1 quartile in the Mathematics category. The journal achieved a Journal Impact Factor of 1.2 and was ranked 115th among 492 journals in this category. At the same time, it was ranked in the Q2 quartile in the Mathematics, Applied category. Mathematical Communications is an international diamond open-access scientific journal that has been published since 1996. Until 2025, the journal operated as a general mathematics journal, after which it shifted its focus and became a specialized journal in the fields of applied mathematics, probability, and statistics. The journal’s primary mission is to provide an open platform for the exchange of scientific ideas and the publication of research that bridges theoretical results and their applications in methods for solving complex problems. Achieving a Q1 ranking represents significant international recognition of the quality of the published papers, the work of the editorial board, and the contributions of all collaborators associated with the journal. It also confirms the journal’s growing visibility and reputation within the global mathematical community. This achievement further demonstrates the strong scientific and research activity of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics and its contribution to the international mathematical community.
