26/11/2025 New HRZZ Projects at the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics The School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics has achieved significant success in the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) calls IP-2025-02 and UIP-2025-02, in which two new projects have been approved: IP-2025-02 – Research Project“Optimization of Parameter-Dependent Systems with Applications”, Principal Investigator: Prof. Zoran Tomljanović UIP-2025-02 – Installation Research Project“Development of Hyperheuristics for a Heterogeneous-Machine Environment with Additional Resources”, Principal Investigator: Prof. Mateja Đumić With these projects, the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics has positioned itself among the more successful university units within the HRZZ funding framework. In addition to the two newly approved projects, the Faculty is currently hosting three ongoing HRZZ research projects: Metric Properties of Graphs – Principal Investigator: Prof. Snježana Majstorović Ergotić Scaling in Stochastic Models – Principal Investigator: Prof. Danijel Grahovac Homogenization and Optimization in Solid Mechanics – Principal Investigator: Prof. Krešimir Burazin The total value of these five research projects amounts to €755,086.24. Furthermore, the Faculty is implementing four doctoral training projects, bringing the total value of all HRZZ-funded projects at the Faculty to over €1.3 million.
