Framework for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools at mathos

The Council of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics (mathos) has adopted the Framework for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools at the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. The Framework promotes ethical, responsible, and transparent application of AI technologies in accordance with academic and research standards. It defines acceptable and unacceptable uses of AI tools, outlines responsibilities of authors, and establishes principles of good practice.

It also specifies that all scientific, professional, final, graduate, and seminar papers must include a mandatory Statement on the Use of AI Tools, which reads:

The author used [tool name, e.g., ChatGPT] to aid in writing this paper.

  • The generative technology was used to perform corrections, improve tone, and brainstorm ideas.
  • No generated information factual in nature or related to the topic of the paper has been represented as the author’s original work.
  • The author takes ultimate responsibility for the content of this paper.
