Preparations for International Mathematics Competitions

At the beginning of the new academic year, a special group was formed at Mathos for students interested in participating in international mathematics competitions such as the International Youth Math Challenge, the Vojtěch Jarník International Mathematical Competition, and other similar events.

The aim of this initiative is to strengthen students’ problem-solving skills and to introduce them to advanced techniques and strategies necessary for success in top-level competitions.

The preparation program covers a wide range of mathematical disciplines and levels of difficulty, including algebra, mathematical analysis, and geometry, as well as combinatorics, number theory, and optimization. The activities include interactive workshops, solving problems taken from real competition tasks, and becoming familiar with useful, sometimes lesser-known problem-solving methods.
